Gampaha is an urban city in Gampaha District, Western Province, Sri Lanka. It is situated to the north-east of the capital Colombo. It is the sixth largest urban area in Western Province, after Colombo, Negombo, Kalutara, Panadura and Avissawella.

Henarathgoda Botanical Garden

After the construction of the Henarathgoda railway station, a botanical garden was also established with the name Henarathgoda Botanical Garden. In Sri Lanka, the first rubber tree was planted here and is still present in the town. The first seed was planted by the original owner, Muhandiam Amaris De Zoysa. He donated a major portion of this estate for public use to enhance the look of local surroundings. Due to the growing popularity of the town, the garden is also known as Gampaha Botanical Garden. Warana Temple

Warana Raja Maha Vihara is an ancient Buddhist temple situated in Thihariya, Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. The temple is located approximately 5 km away from the Colombo - Kandy highway. Currently this temple has been recognized as an archaeological protected site in Gampaha District by Archaeological department.
